all i have to say..epic. if you haven't seen this guy live, your life is not complete :P
the first act that played..i can't remember the name (the guy wasn't really enunciating on the mic so it was hard to make out), but they played a mix of dnb/dubstep/funk, with one guy on a saxophone and one guy playing drums, while they had some kind of mix going on the guy with the sax was using a laptop to manipulate. it was pretty dope, anyone know who i'm talking about?
either way, bassnectar's setup (i'm pretty sure he uses ableton heavily) i found cool because even though he had his case of cdj-1000's, i barely saw him touch it. he was heavy on the trigger finger, which i thought was cool because it's one of the cheapest pads in it's class. it really shows it's about how you use the gear. he also had a xone 92 which he did some cool stuff with at times.
we sold out the place so he played an extended set needless to say i was at the most like 10 ft away from this guy, crowd was going nuts the entire time. it really made me fall in love with dubstep again, i love that feeling.
GO SEE THIS GUY!
