So in (what seemed to me) an effort to dismiss the quality of a track I love, someone posted the song that it was heavily sampled from. That sort of got me thinking about all the really funky remixes of great tracks from the 70's and 80's that got reworked as house tracks. Let's post up some bangers that were re-imagined from some of our contemporary (or old school) house producers. Post the House mix of it, and then where it came from.

Not really house, but this was a HUGE track back in the day. Even though it's more along the lines of hip hop, it was one of the biggest instrumentals in the mid 90's, and considering it was made by Kenny Dope (Masters at Work), it fits in this thread with no problem. Probably the only instrumental I know of that ever got regular air play back then thanks to Funk Master Flex.
