DJ name help!!!

I came up with the name IVIr HYDE, just like my username.
I was wondering do your think its easy to see that "IVIr" looks like "Mr".
I don't want people saying I-V-I-r HYDE, I want them to say MR Hyde.
Should I put dj in front my dj name or add a period after "IVIr"
Is my name already too confusing, its not so hard.
I'm open to any opinions on my name.
Also this is my real last name Hyde.

To be honest, I didn't see Mr at all the first time. It's not the best name, I don't think. I think HyDE would be a cool DJ name. No DJ, no IVIr, just HyDE.

have been through several name changes in my 11 years of DJ'ing - and do you know what? my tip would be to choose something simple & short that rolls off the tongue, and that's personal to you. that's the best way. don't try no fitting it to the genre you play or anything like that....

You're always better off using something that's easy to read, and I would also suggest to stay away from incorrect spellings, or variations on the spelling as someone in this thread suggested "Hyde and Seek". If you ever decide (or already have) to open a webpage, it's going to be so difficult for people to find you. Even with the use of Mr. Hyde, people might be confused about whether to enter the "." or whether it's "Mister Hyde".

With everything marketing/publicity related, I try to follow the "KISS" principle. KEEP IT SIMPLE, STUPID.

...Or I always refer to the "lowest common denominator". Who is the dumbest person in society and will he/she be able to figure it out??? If the answer is a resounding "yes" then you're golden.

The more difficult you make it, the harder it'll be to gain traction. You'll have people talking about the DJ "I-V-I-r" and "Mr. Hyde" in the same conversation without realizing it's the same guy. Not to mention if you have flyers printed by a venue, you don't want them to put "ivir" because it should be "IVIr". You would have to communicate that to some low level club employee or promoter who is most likely going to get it wrong (I don't have a very high regard for club promoters and/or staff and their attention to detail).

And that's not to say that using "IVIr" will irrepairably damage your career, becaus Deadmau5 still succeeded, but why make it more difficult? Enough people have already called him Deadmau-five. I think even the name Avicci is bad. Picture yourself at a club, asking the DJ "who is this?" and he responds "Avicci". Then you go home and search Avichi, or Aveechee. Not good.

Edit (case in point): Actually I just checked and it's spelled "avicii".

It's advisable to keep it as simple as possible so people remember, easily search, and talk about you at any given time.

I think Mr. Hyde is a cool DJ name without the DJ and front and 'Mr.' spelt normally. Go with that... I suppose.
