Default Anyone ever bought off antifmp3.net?

Earlier on I was browsing through the website Newmixes.com to catch up on all the latest essential mixes I have missed out on. It seems they have gone bust but started up a new site Antifmp3 to upload the essential mixes onto. But it looks like they also sell legal, sometimes high quality mp3's.

At first I was like hey cool another site to buy tunes off, but then I saw the prices they are charging. Take for example the recent What You Need EP by Tiga, charged at around $9 on PIAS recordings (Here)

I found the exact same EP, at 320kbps, on Antifmp3........for $0.60. Yes that's 60 cents. Have a look!!That's when my brain started thinking something is up here. There is no way they are able to sell the full EP, at 320, for THAT price!

Has anyone ever bought for them before, or know people who have or have any clue as to why it could possibly be so cheap?! I have a feeling there has to be a catch here. The crap quality previews and dodgy album art isn't exactly re-assuring.

Oh and just to apply a comparison to a song everyone has heard of (much as I hate it)....
    B.E.P - Boom Boom Pow
Amazon.com - $0.99. That's for just the radio version of the single. ONE track.
Antifmp3.net - $1.05. For SEVEN tracks, including two accapellas, versions with intros, instrumentals and clean radio edits.

It has to be too good to be true!

The T&C's seem standard enough to my eyes, care to enlighten me? Ok actually what is with this last bit!

I think I'll pass on those tracks actually, thanks.......

    From the FAQ

Is it legal to download music from antifmp3.net?

Our new members often ask us is it legal to download digital content from antifmp3.net. And the answer is "Definitely Yes. It is completely legal to download music from our site."

In accordance to the licenses' terms antifmp3.net Inc pays license fees for all materials downloaded from the site subject to the Law of the Russian Federation "On Copyright and Related Rights". All these materials are solely for personal use. Any further distribution, resale or broadcasting are prohibited.
It's the Law of the Russian Federation... which I believe makes it illegal

Wow if only everything were this clear cut. . I'm so reassured by your "definitely yes." It's the same deal as websites that'll let you download whole albums for like $0.89. Plus, do you really wanna put your credit/debit card info into some random website? Maybe I'm old fashioned...

I was looking at a similar site to this a couple of months ago and did some research. Apparently it is legal for these sites to operate out of Russia. The problem is the tracks are not being sourced directly from labels, so pretty much anyone can start one of these websites in Russia and put up there own personal music collection for sale...hence the varying bitrates (they will throw up whatever they find)

So my biggest issue is that no money makes it back to any of the artists. I have also heard of tracks being for sale on here when they were released for free by the artist. For example Steve Angelo - Che Flute was for sale on this other site (the name slips my mind at the moment)

Personally I would steer clear, eventually the sites will probably be shut down and the people running them will be left with nothing..except your credit card details!
