Default Cue Point Chords in Ableton?..

    Yo,

I just watched Eans cue point chords video and am trying to replicate it inside Ableton..

I have 4 clips set to different cue points on gate launch mode and I have all my beat repeats and effects set up.

However, is there a way to set an effect to only be on whilst you hold the trigger key/pad down? like the Gate clip launch mode, without that functionality it's pretty much impossible to play them as smoothly as in the video..

    Would love some suggestions.

    Cheers!

Try Bomes Midi Translator and use control data instead of note/on/off data

You could use the free version of Bomes Midi Translator to complish this, basicly what you need to do is convert the button to send the same message as knob does turned all the way up when your pushing the button down and sending the same message as a knob turned all the way down to turn off effect again as your finger is released.

In the end it will end up looking a little like this:

    Trantlator 1 -
    Input: 90 55 00
    Output: b0 55 00

    Translator 2 -
    Input: 90 55 7F
    Output: b0 55 7F
