Massive and FM8 do not save settings in Ableton Live

Hi. I'm using komplete 8 plugins in Ableton live. I have an odd problem: when I save and reopen a project, I lose all of my plug-in settings. This does not happen in Kontakt or Absynth, but is a problem with Massive and FM8. Anybody have suggestions?

Please post your version numbers - are you using the most up-to-date release or some beta? OS X or Windows? VST or AU (or standalone)? Are you talking about automation or patches? Have you frozen their tracks?

The same thing was happening to me, and then I stopped using Ableton (after I paid $800 for the suite) for a while just working on Maschine, and then got back into Ableton a few weeks ago and it all works fine.

I don't know what caused the problem, or fixed it, but i'm definitely interested if you figure out what is screwing it all up.
