Default Confirm my research? Timecode + S2

I couldn't decide if this was more relevant in the CD & Vinyl section or the S2 & S4 section, so I posted here. Feel free to move the thread.

I have an S2 and a pair of 1200's and I'm ready to give timecode a shot. I'm trying to determine if my best option is to get the Audio 6 timecode kit for $300, or purchase a used Audio 8 and buy the Scratch upgrade for $120. My concern is that I'll lose the ability to cue tracks on the A6, which obviously isn't acceptable. Can someone confirm this for me?

Thanks guys. There is headphone out, but my concern stems from the fact that there doesn't seem to be a knob to balance between the cued track and the currently playing track. I was under the impression that the cue knob on the S2 wouldn't work with an external soundcard, so how would I manage that?

with the s2 controls for that function

they control traktor, which in turn controls what gets sent out the headphones, the only difference is the hole isn't on the controller, but will work the same
