We're largely an international community on here and as such I've caught myself saying things that I used to normally never say. Mate for example is something I never said unless I was doing a Crocodile Dundee or Steve Irwin impersonation. Anybody else catch themselves being influenced by our international DJTT members?

yep, between here and filth.fm (based in london) I've started saying "mate" unintentionally as well.

I am also happy to report that I have more Americans using my slang than the other way around.

On average it takes me using the word "mate" 3 or 4 times during a 30 minute cab ride to the airport to ensure the taxi driver says "goodbye mate" when he drops me off.
