Not that I'm a huge fan, but I can appreciate what he did, especially in the realm of electronic and dance music.

How can one not be a fan (not the groupie level of course)? He pushed things further in so many areas, pop music, dance, video's. I just feel pity for him that he seems to have suffered to much to give us all of what he has. But you can get away with a few Michael Jackson (Remixes) at any party, its quite amazing how universal his appreciation is even today.

i'm afraid yes... CNN confirmed it... RIP.
He's done, sux! RIP MJ! Ill be doing a tribute set on Sunday.
i appreciate him as a musicican, who did some great tunes, but personally I don't really care. the thing is he made great music with the jackson 5 and the first years as a solo act as well, but the success just change him in a way i could never imaging.. not only speaking of the change of his skincolor but as person who always tried to keep up with his previous succes with pretty strange behaviour and comerical music..

Poor bugger. Celebrity from an early age meant he never had the chance to have a normal life. Thanks for some great choons though.

not a giant fan as well, but it is a sad day in music none the less. He did amazing things regardless of what you think about him as a person.

RIP Mike
Cant deny the huge impact that he has had on the music scene - its definantly a sad day.
Even though he seemed like a creeper he still made good songs and motivated people to dance through his music and videos(He was pretty good back in the day, not going to lie! lol)
