I think it sounds like a good price and the dude isn't over-valuing his used gear. The most I would pay for a used s4 would be $500, so I would go for it if you can test it. I find it funny when people try to sell them for $700-750, but more power to them if they sucker someone to pay that much for such a common peice of kit (considering you can pretty much always get them for $760 new, maybe a little less if you are lucky or know how to work the deals).

I would steal it if I could and save the $450

I picked mine up for $400 from a friend, great controller but I wouldn't have ever gotten a controller unless I got it a great price like that. I like my cdj's personally but its nice to have it around if I don't feel like lugging equipment everywhere.
I sold mine for $500 over a year ago.
Sold mine for €700 yesterday.
But that was with the flightcase.
So yea, I'd say it's a good deal.
Here in Winnipeg that would go so fast. Depends on your location and how readily available deals like that are. Deals like that are non existant here. $600 for a used one is very good still and that priced a guaranteed sale. Despite the $899 sale in August for new you'll still see them pop up at $750-$800 used.
Winnipeg is just a horrible place for buying used. You really have to scavenge, because so many people overvalue used equipment!
Sounds like a great deal. Just ask to test it and make sure everything responds ok
