    Default DJM-T1 or Z2?

    Same price - same concept.

    What do you think?

Unfortunately I don't think the DJM T1 took off like the TTM 57sl did for Serato. Price came in really high and I think most people shrugged it off when compared to other options i.e. 4 channel DJM 900 with built in Fx for a couple hundred more.

I do own a DJM T1 (bought after the price drop) I have to say I like it. I wish it wouldn't taken some cues from the DJM 909 (more fader control, built in fx as well) but overall the build quality is great, cue points on each side very handy, and it's got a nice EQ. I do want to try the Z2 however I don't think it'll feel as solid as the T1.

Z2 feels pretty good, nice faders. It's also over £200 cheaper than the T1. Build quality is definitely better than previous NI Kontrol units.

Good to hear. I don't DISlike the other NI units but I don't love them either. Buttons are far too clicky, not bouncy enough (well not including pads on the Maschine of course, and to be fair I've never messed with an F1, just X1 and S4). Knobs are just ok. Whole thing feels solid, and they seem to hold up pretty well, but still at the same time feels a bit cheap if you know what I mean.

I'm pretty sure there will be a Z4, it's just a matter of time.

    Nope. Plastic.

EDIT: The glossy section is metal, the outside sections are aluminum.
