    Default Traktor..... GLITCH !

    Hello everyone!

i have a macbook pro i7 quad core 2.2ghz... 4gb of ram and 500gb at 7200rpm, i have every single app off, even airport is off... I have a S4 and the latency buffer is set to 512 (which is even too high), BUT! ... i can hear the kicks and the snares glitch a lot. and sometimes it freezes for a fraction of a second when i activate or deactivate an FX.

    .... Why?

is this computer not enough? I'm seriously lost now.

    help!

I don't have a fix for this but believe me those specs are more than enough to run traktor. Not sure why it's doing it, maybe someone else has a solution.

Latest Traktor, latest OS, latest drivers? That's usually the starting point when narrowing down obvious issues.

Is the keylock on? That makes for some weird sounding stuff sometimes.

Drivers would be my guess. If you're running mountain lion you need to download the 10.8 specific drivers for the S4 from the NI website, I'm not sure if they're still beta or not.

2.5 had performance issues with keylock, fixed in Traktor 2.5.1. I did a 24-hour marathon DJ set just for fun this weekend and Traktor worked with no glitches. Used my studio MacPro that spec:wise (as it's an old MacPro) has maybe 40% of your performance.

Preferences>Audio setup> make sure that "Enable Multicore processor support" is unticked.

What is your sample rate set at?
    MacBook Pro, HD25's, Midi-Fighter Classic, Pioneer DDJ-RX , Rekordbox
