    Default Controller help please :-))

After taking a 7 year break from djing I'm after getting back into it, A lots changed in the time I've been away :-)) I sold my cdj1000 mk3's and djm600 , but kept my sl1210's , as I've still got 1000's of my old vinyl I started djing in 1990 I've been a resident dj at a few clubs during the 90's My problem is space (lack of :-)) So the controller looks my best bet

My mixing will be mainly beat mixing with hopefully using efx , loops etc

Been looking at the ddj-sx , BUT
Open to suggestions on hardware and software

I'm new to digital laptop djing

    Any help much appreciated

    Many thanks
    Mark :-))

If you enjoy playing on 1200's, you'll get better platter response (for the most part) from Serato controllers - NS6, NS7, VCI-300/380 and I'd assume the DDJ-SX is along the same lines. It really comes down to you how you prefer to play and what features are most important to you. I prefer Serato's workflow over Traktors, while other folks prefer extensive midi mapping and customization that Traktor offers.

if you choose traktor and if you dont just have to have jog wheels to feel like a DJ, i strongly recommend the akai APC40.... its cheap, its solid, and it has enough real estate to support all in one functionality.

A&H Xone 4d and TSP certified device upgrade kit.

Loads of midi to map in Traktor, built in quality audio interface with timecode support, you can spin your vinyl without switching the computer on .....
The jogs are pants tho lol so I'll also say DNX1600 + 2 DNSC2000 s + TSP cert upgrade kit ..... for the same reasons

If you're feeling Traktor the S4 will do you justice, plus you can use it as a mixer for your 1200's if you still mix internally.
If you don't have haters, you're not doing it right
