Default Before I put on my overlay...thoughts??

I have one of these custom DJTT "DIY" overlays and considering putting in on my black VCI-100, but I am wondering if I decide one day to change the overlay or sell it , wil it be hard to remove this overlay? I think I have read somewhere they are not so easy to remove..

Any input before I adheise, let me know

I thought the idea of the overlay was that it was simple to remove , i think it was the jog grips that have been problematic.

The overlays use a different glue, it will only leave a residue if you leave it on there for an extended peroid of time.

Here is a thread about removing jog grip residue, the same applies to overlay residue(though this isnt nearly as much of a problem) if you get it on there.

So even if you leave it on there for a couple years and wish to take it off there are relatively easy ways to get it looking back like new. From my experience though people seem to like the overlays on the second hand gear, we have had some users on this forum buy VCI-100's from other users who had already put on overlays. One guy didn't even realise it was an overlay on the device until he came to DJTT after buying the device.

    Thanks Bento,
I guess one could use Goo Gone.
I was planning on marking my own overlay, so most who would want to buy it, if I would sell it, would prefer it back to new ( I think)..
The black overlays though would always be a selling point.
