    Default DJ booth lighting

does anybody have any suggestions on lighting shops for DJ booth sort of club lighting (i.e. lighting the work/performance space and your gear in dark spots)?

Sort of hard to find when searching for "DJ lighting" and what not... just get a bunch of pro lighting, laser disco ball stuff.

Im looking for unique flex light, clamp light, type stuff, glow lighting, etc. I like to work in the dark but currently my space it too dark and I want some space lighting for my setup and an illuminated keyboard too

the USB powered LEDs are really handy. Also, you can get lights that you can plug into the outlet, so wherever your powerstrip is you have light.
    It's the FAQ. Read it.

are you looking for something for you to take around or to install for a night your running or something? USB flexlight is great for personal use, although i prefer to have a small flashlight (i use a 1AAA mini maglight). for installs, just go to walmart or home depot or whatever and get a clamplight with like a 35-40 watt bulb.

I bought this little LED desktop light for like 2 bux at some Japanese marketplace. It had a ac adapter, but I plugged in a USB power cable from a USB plasma ball I got from thinkgeek and it works! I take it to my gigs. Took some pics with it on and off to show how useful it is.

That is actually really fukin cool! I'd use that on the go. I guess what Im looking for is more glow lighting (preferably with AC adapter). What I want to do is just subtly light my creation space. Say like a 1200's red power light or even its dim orange glow of the popup light. If it is a brighter light I'd like the ability to dim it and flexibility would be awesome like FTW's little light link.

I've got a Jerker from IKEA (http://www.caboodle.hu/uploads/pics/...ker-asztal.jpg) ...my 2nd shelf is a lot lower.

I'll go check out the setups section of the forum to see options too. I really want my space to inspire creativity. Right now...its just a mess and a buzz kill.

If anybody has a couple mil I can borrow then I'll just create one of these:

Ahh, I see. The one thing that pops in my mind are these "Werklights" from Odyssey. http://www.odysseygear.com/products....=werklight2500 . I've seen them lit they aren't to bright. Here's another: http://www.planetdj.com/i--BIG10

They make different kinds like a power conditioner combo light. These are really designed to fit in a 19" rack.

fuck yea man, spot on! That rack light looks like it might just work. I can mount it under the shelf, "illuminates without killing the ambiance" and is color changing or can be set to one color.

    Thanks man!

(btw, any pics of your home setup?)
