where can I find the serial number for my audi 4?

as above, I need to find a serial number for my audio 4 for returns purposes. The box and manuals have several numbers printed on them. any ideas?

I think it's on the bottom of the unit, with S/N before the string of numbers

My audio 4 cracks and pops and the sound distorts randomly for so many seconds

Does this on various settings on my dell, my mates sony vaio, and my GF's macbook pro.

I have never liked the sound of the audio 4 even when it was ok.

I really want an Xone 2d as a replacement.

The Serial number of an Audi A4 is on the ECU.

It took me a second to realize that that wasn't an Audio4, but an Audi, which was exactly what I thought he was talking about when I first read the post
