    Default loop slicing software

is there such a program that I can load a dance track and it will detect bpm and allow me to slice the track automatically into loops that are at preset intervals that i can set, like 1 bar 2 bars etc. then i can load them into ableton for easy on the fly remixing? I remember sony's acid/ and recycle had a feature kinda like that. and now I use all apple based products and am desperately looking for such a program. any help would be appreciated.

Cant you just use the Ableton section where you do warping ? You can cut\copy\crop areas out of a song just by highlighing the area and copying the audio you want. Then pasting it in a new clip.

The only reason i would use a slicer would be to start cropping individual samples.
