i thought the prices were pretty standard imho :P even though it's basically new gear, since it's been "used" it takes that title which automatically bumps it down in price. trying to sell "used" gear at a "new" price, even if it's straight out of the box, people think is unfair apparently. oh well :P

ebay auction just ended on the firebox.. 0 bids

before i relist it i'm going to offer it up to my good brethren here at DJTT.

to make it more enticing, not only are you getting a gently used presonus firebox (ac adapter & firewire cable incl.), but also CUBASE 4 LE! and ProPak Software that has some cool plugins.

The Firebox is seriously LOUD and possibly the toughest piece of kit i own.
The headphone out is very loud as well.
With the Firebox software mixer you can assign the outputs for Monitor speakers which is cool with TPRO.
Midi in/out which i use with the Faderfox DX2
It really is the best soundcard available in my opinion. Its rock solid.

If mine ever broke i wouldnt even consider another id just get another Firebox even though i own an Audio 8 and an Audio 2.

And FireWire is awesome. It will free up a USB slot on your Macbook Pro.

    $200 is a steal.

haha Karlos, you rock. but what he says is truth. it's almost painful to part with it, but i need an audio 8 to control my DVS setup. to me it's an all-in-one piece of gear for DJing and production, i can hook up my mic (2 if i wanted to), midi devices, and another DJ routed into the audio-in and all have it running easily.

over the Kontrol 1, it's got 1 more XLR / 1/4'' combo jack, 1/4'' inputs and more 1/4'' outputs. and like Karlos says, the thing is loud. even gigging i can run my headphones at half way and it's blasting in my ears. i don't think i've ever turned the main gain past half way either. i just didn't need it to be THAT loud haha.
