Pretty sure 10% is german law?

maybe. someone at work was telling me that for the t-shirts we sell it only has to be %10 but im not sure if its the same with music...

The 10% rule is false. Technically any uncleared sample from a microsample to a drum loop to an instrumental passage is pretty much illegal.

Hence Justice's recent claim that their album was made of microsamples potentially led them into hot water.

A german video artist recently tried to tie up the copyright system in Germany by trying to clear thousands upon thousands of microsamples.
