    Default Nanopad problem

So, to add to the apparent ever-growing list of "Nano-complaints," I was going to sell my Nanopad tomorrow and I was testing it out to make sure it was working okay before I sold it to this guy.

    It's a good thing I did.

For some dumb ass reason, when I hit the 5th pad in the upper-left corner it also triggers the 6th pad. No matter how hard/softly I hit it, same problem. I tried resetting the mapping, and using it in Ableton and FL Studio, with the same problem lingering.

Anyone else have a similar problem, or hear of anything like this?

I have no idea if it's still under warranty. Damn it.

Edit: Naturally my warranty information is no where to be found.

you could try opening it up and seeing if anything is caught/broken that's making the 6th pad trigger as well. basically the only option i can think of right now.

you can contact korg for a replacement. Someone on here had a thread about it so i thought id give it a shot. My replacement is on its way as we speak.. All they ask for is an invoice and serial number.

I looked all over the place for my receipt and absolutely could not find it.

The whole situation is just stupid, I think. Korg has a pretty good reputation (and history, for that matter) of quality musical instruments. I just thought that out of everything I own, the Nanopad wouldn't be the thing to break; especially considering it's a fairly simple piece of equipment. Oh well, lesson learned.

Edit: I realize that the Nanopad is low on the price range spectrum, but that doesn't mean it should have broken so soon imo. And considering how many other people have had this problem, come on...

After I emailed the guy and told him what was wrong with it, he still wanted it anyway. So everything worked out somehow.

The moral of the story: save your receipts.

Yeah truth. Plus what I like about those is the whole knob scene. I think DJ-wise there's probably not a whole lot you need 12 pads for. A couple pads and a couple knobs ought to do the trick.
