-- CHECK our DEBUT (DEEP)HOUSE EP RELEASE ON BEATPORT "RSTRCTD - EXISTENCE" --
Hey guys,
Today I'll be sharing this mapping feature, I found it useful and hope you're gonna love it as well
Basically when button is pressed the rmx applies secondary (brake) effect and while releasing the same button it automatically turns off all of the effects that are currently active. Now, the break effect is straight forward - all you need to do is to map simple button/hold type effect and that does it but here's about release kill effect.
The release effect can be accomplished by using inverted direct=0 settings but because not every controller sends same type of MIDI massage we'll use one modifier to do the trick here just in case.
Add In > Modifier #1 / type-button / interaction-hold / value=1
Add In > Effect button / modCon M1=1 / type-button / interaction-hold
Map both to same button/pad
Here's a short demo. This feature is part of my CNTRL:R ultimate tool!
The effects I've used before dropping release button are flanger, iceverb and filter LFO in group and T3 delay in single effect mode. And for break effect I've mapped laser slicer with value 0.000 - sounds pretty cool!
