    Default Bug?!

    Hey guys,

I've got a little problem that nobody else seems to have. I'm recently working on a custom mapping for TouchOSC.
I do use FX mappings from this thread and custom ones... But anyways:

Everytime I press a push or toggle button on my iPad, the button on which it is mapped won't turn on. It lights up for a millisecond and nothing happens (The parameters and anything else do work). It does work if I press it a second time when the effect and fx-group-mode is loaded.

The Faders with Multi-FX and my Freeze Delay are working instantly...

Is this a bug ?! Same problem anyone ?!

The Beatmasher mapping as an example:

    Add in > FX Unit > DryWet / type-button / mode-direct / value-1.000
    Add in > FX Unit > Knob 1 / type-button / mode-direct / value-0.500
    Add in > FX Unit > Effect Selector / type-button / mode-direct / value-Beatmasher2
    Add in > FX Unit > Button 1 / type-button / mode-hold
    Add in > FX Unit > FX Unit Mode Selector / type-button / mode-direct / value-Group

Hey guys! How do i take a TSI file and pull it up in something like notepad so i can read it. I guess taking a screen shot can work but is there another way?

    Thanks

You won't be able to "read" a .tsi.

It's not (currently) an open format... but use Patch's link above to see how it was reverse engineered.

Its pretty easy to just copy whats there. Pain staking, but easy. plus, you learn allot by doing it manually

    Hey Stewe!

I loved your tape delay mapping but i was wondering if you could make it that when you pitch it up you can fade the effect out instead of pitching it down to make the effect stop.

The reason I love this effect because Joris Voorn also uses some sort of effect like that:
you can hear it at the beginning of his set.

He takes a small loop and pitches it up, can you decipher what it is? It's almost the same as your tape delay only slightly different, I wonder what it is... Can you help me out?
I'm still a noob when it comes to mapping so some help here would be great!!

Love the effort you put in this thread, keep up the good work!

    Hey Lokomotive,
I finally got some time to listen to this set, it's cool and very inspiring to me so thank you for your reply. Sounds like he's using a tape delay in a similar sound, only without the Transpose sweep. But, he uses the Bouncer effect (single mode) instead of micro loops. but you can also combine with loops and make ultrafine adjusts and pitch it with a Key knob - which is what the bouncer effect really is.
So it's Bouncer (unit1) in front of the Tape Delay (unit2) And a T3 Reverb at the end!

What controller do you map this for?
