Default Connecting powered sub with S4

I run two krk rocket 5's as my main monitors, plus a truth/behringer 2092a dual 8" powered subwoofer.

Just got a s4 and I'm having a hard time connecting the sub.

The krk's are hooked up to the mains(two separate rca's but nothing to connect the sub?(I have a xlr to RCA cable).

I usually connected my sub to the "booth" input on my old controller, nothing on the s4 seems to work...
    Thoughts?

U should probably put a signal-splitter between it.
You just plug your main out into that and then you have seprate outputs for high and low.

Would that not compromise on signal delivery and sound quality?

If not, I'll just do that...

1/4" to XLR into the subwoofer, and then XLR from sub to each monitor

1/4" Off either the L or R from the main to xlr sub(in), the xlr sub(out) to both monitors?
Do xlr come in split formats?

( sorry for the very n00b q's I had my old setup like this for a dogs age...it's been awhile)

Don't use splitters. If you don't have a crossover, then do what brocklambert suggested.

2x 1/4" TRS to XLR from your S4 to the sub LEFT IN and RIGHT IN, then XLR to XLR from your sub LEFT/RIGHT OUT to your Rokits

    alrite...

whatI have is a custom made RCA to XLR cable, which I ran from my booth input on my old mixdeck.

If I kept the RCA to XLR feed (from main on S4 to Sub) and ran 1/4" TRS to XLR(x2) will this work?

If you use TRS to XLR for the sub input and XLR for the sub output to the monitors rather than RCA the signal will be balanced, which has its advantages. Read my guide linked in my sig if you don't know what that means.

The main point though is that you want to plug your RP5s into the sub rather than the controller so that the sub's built in crossover removes the bass. That should improve the clarity you get in the mids and highs.
