Amazed at the negative reaction to this I'm seeing all over the interwebs (not here). Surely if you have such super exclusive tracks that you need to keep their identity secret, they wouldn't be on beatport anyway.

My Setup
building on this, if you truely love a track, the best way to repay an artist is by telling others about the track. This gives you an excellent opportunity to do that along with this I think we'll be seeing people broadening their tastes in electronic music. i bet there are a tonne of patrons who hear a track they like, but they can't access the dj and the track has no lyrics; they have literally NO WAY of finding that track. this will definitely change the game in that sense.
beatport seemed to have a lot of negative reaction on its fb page too. the only reason for djs to get anxious over other people having the same tunes as them is lack of style. if someone just does simple a to b mixing, anyone with the same tracks as them can replicate their set. its someone elses music their playing. its wrong for djs to think that those tunes belong to them just because they play them out and its pathetic for them to get upset over other people discovering new music.

only the lazy "download the top 100" DJs should be worried as they are about to become obsolete.
I dont think theres a phone out there that can cleanly pick out a song on a club soundsystem. My iphone always craps out on any DnB night I go to, can only pick up the snares lol.
Play more vinyl only stuff. Problem solved =)
