Lol... i was surprised that no-one twigged sooner.
I was all "ipad this and iPad that" for a few weeks.

I still need to get around to trying your Lemur layout. In fact I still need to get the Lemur app.
Testing Traktor DJ has taken all my time with the iPad.

I still want to use it as a controller at some point.

I personally feel this app is amazing and has incredible potential. I love the way it operates, it's very easy to use and whilst it is controlled differently it feels very similar to the Traktor that we are all used to.

One of it's biggest drawbacks as far as I can tell so far after about an hour of using it is that it's not very suited to tracks that don't have a quantized 4:4 drumbeat. I'm not saying there is no way to do it, just that if there is I haven't found it yet... but I can't seem to find a way to beatmatch manually which is a big issue.

NI have released a firmware update for the A6 and A10 soundcards so that you can use them using the camera adapter kit (USB in to iPad cable) for use with split stereo audio out and routing through a mixer etc. With this in mind, I can see future versions of the app allowing you to use the S2/S4 and Traktor Scratch gear to control it which could make it a serious contender to DJing with a laptop.

can someone explain how to connect an iPad with the external soundcard?..how those that work?..ill have to sell my brand new audio 4 and by me an Audio 6 because of the power..:-(

You'll need one of these cables;

You then plug the USB of your NI soundcard into the USB port on that converter cable and plug the other end into your iPad. First you'd need to update the firmware of your soundcard, see here:

Agreed and I have requested that cue points should be able to be placed anywhere not just on a beat.
