Default Powered USB Hub for Mac

    Hi.

I have a MacBook Pro Retina and soon to pick up a Kontrol S4.

I am wanting to eventually add two Kontrol F1 to my set up for ultimate control. The new mac's only have two USB ports so I could do with a powered USB hub because I aim to have the following plugged in:

    - 1 x Kontrol S4
    - 2 x Kontrol F1
    - 1 x connection for a Mouse (just incase)
    - a spare port for a USB flash stick now and again.

Might sound cheesy but wouldn't mind a LED flashing one for a bit of fun but! I'm thinking a 5/6 port one.

Any recommendations/links? Anything I should consider?

    Cheers

Considering you aren't doing transfers? USB 2.0 should be fine, from Manhattan I would say this

Nope, the occasional USB stick but all tracks will be played from Internal SSD or sometimes via Thunderbolt/Firewire External Drive.

I have this and this is the only one the Native Instruments use at their HQ. If asked they always recommend it.

This can also charge your iPad/iPhone.

Now that is really really handy as I have both. Would be cool to know it can charge both and not f**k anything up.

    Cheers.

I picked up one of the Belkin 7 port powered usb hubs off ebay for $9.99/shipped. I use it with my macbook and it powers all the equipment listed in my signature with no issue. I can also charge my iphone too (dont have an ipad) plus you said you wanted to some led lighting this thing shines bright blue too. Heres the link where I picked it up http://www.ebay.com/itm/Belkin-Hi-Sp...item5653337072
