447's all day, everyday (unless its ortofon concordes)
Watch your weight balance though cos the 447's will tear up your records in no time.

Thanks for all the replies! Based on the replies i'm thinking of getting these Headshells: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Record-P...item5d2b213b80
    And these needles: http://www.ebay.com/itm/251127245053
    Does that look ok?

I also have Ortofon Concord Nightclubs and prefer the M447....also replacing the stylus is cheaper.

Your shures look fine but I would go for the technics style headshell rather than the SME style you picked out there. The SME style tends to be lighter and flimsier, it looks nicer but it is thinner and you may have to fidget with cart weight settings more than if you use the headshell everyone else uses. Most of all, they're like concordes - I never see an SME headshell that still has its finger lift attached, heh.

Ok thanks! what about this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Turntabl...item5ae700162f. Correct me if I'm wrong but I don't really see the point in spending a lot of money on a headshell...

That's closer to what you want, yeah, though they look a little oddly shaped. And no there's no reason to pay a lot - I can't believe there are people selling Technics headshells for $120 on that site; they should be closer to $20-30 new. American Audio makes pretty much exact replicas brand new for $8. I'd get those over the ones you linked: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/cont...G&A=details&Q=

In my opinion, Concordes are not worth the extra money...
