Multi use Laptop: DJing/Gaming/3D animation/EMP

So I need a laptop for around $1500, and needs to do, Djing, gaming, 3D rendering, and run ableton smoothly.

I was looking at macbook pro, which can do the djing, gaming and ableton, but what about 3D rendering with a stock HD graphics 4000. Bootcamp allows me to play CS 1.6. Costs $1500:

I have an Alienware M11x and I actually really like it. Granted, I didn't pay for it as I traded my old gaming desktop for it. But it actually made me want to buy one flat out next time I go laptop shopping. It's built really well (You'll hear a lot of shitters talking about it being a Dell) and has a solid feel and weight, has a really vivid screen and of course has balls since it is in fact a gaming laptop. Only gripe I have with Dell/Alienware is the price as sometimes it gets out of hand when adding stuff like ram/SSD's that you can self add for fractions of the cost. However, in it's defense the i7Q denotes a true quad core and not a dual core with hyper threading like the Mac and it generally just has better hardware specs.

edit: Also the lighting app will keep you busy. Haters gon' hate on the backlit pink keyboard.

I would check the Vaio S series (13" and 15") which are great work machines. They still have the DVD, VGA, ethernet... Bests.

The VAIO S tops out at a GT 640M whereas the XPS 14 only has a 630M. Both of which are terrible for proper gaming.

You can expect to get about twice the framerate using the GTX 675M over the 640M.

Quite why you'd want to take all your college work with you into a massively hostile environment is beyond me. But if you did, and it broke, youre fucked.

for that price you could easily buy two reasonable laptops, one dedicated for DJing, the other for everything else.

From that point of view a notebook is terrible for proper gaming. I was suggesting a solid alternative to the usual HD4000 but of course if you want to play Crysis 3 you'll have to look to something even more expensive.

The 675M can handle pretty much all games at high settings and is near enough within budget, so why not go for something decent?
