Default I need advice with track transitions during a mix

    Sup everyone?

So let's get facts straight, I'm a beginner and I am trying to record my mixes.
The problem I'm having is that when I record my mix every track volume is equal except during a transition the volume is a lot higher. Maybe this info will be useless, maybe not, but I don't put the input at the max volume, should I? Will it fix the problem? Is it even a problem? Or my mix technique sucks?
Here are some screenshots I took, too understand my explanation better.

Need to work the EQ better, that's all, most likely have the bass/kick overlapping on the tracks while in the middle of our mix.

don't worry about what the wavform looks like. make sure the track levels are even before you mix in a second track, then use the eq to balance the overall sound as required. bumps like in your pic are quite normal in a mix, you can always level things out post mix.
