Difficulty recording mixes

Hi all, I am using an external mixer with M-audio soundcard aswell as Traktor. Can't seem to adjust settings properly on Traktor, mix record function is working but when I go to play recording I'm not getting any audio. Any ideas?

Mix record function clearly isn't working if you're not getting audio. What sound card and mixer are you using?

I'm using an M-Audio soundcard and a Behringer DDM400

How are you getting the audio output by your mixer into an input on your soundcard so your computer can record it?

I have the two main channels on the mixer connected to my soundcard and then a midi to usb cable also going from the mixer to my laptop

Traktor is unable to use 2 sound cards at once. If you are using the internal record function inside traktor you need to output and input from the same sound card.

What I do is setup a pair of inputs to FX send under input routing and then under record choose the FX send as the input channel.

It sounds like from the description above that your audio output is going out the m-audio sound card but you want to record from the mixers internal usb 1.1 sound card. Doesn't work because that is 2 separate sound cards.

What you can do instead is record from the mixer using a separate program like audacity.

The mixer has no internal card. If your M-Audio card has an available input left, connect the DDM4000's Tape Out to that input, set one of your Traktor Input channels to the M-Audio input, and set your Traktor Mix recorder to the Input channel you chose (External source).

The DDM4000 is an analogue mixer. It does not have a soundcard. How, exactly, is the DDM4000 connected to your soundcard and what M-Audio soundcard is it?
