Default DJ Traktor Laptop 13inch vs 15inch

I'm in the market for a used laptop for DJing. There are far more 13inch laptops available vs 15 inch ones. I plan to use the laptop with the Remix decks which means I will almost always have a 3rd deck running at full size. Will the 15 inch screen real estate make that much of a difference? Weight isn't an issue to me.

The trick isn't screen size, it's resolution. The closer you can get to 1080p, the better, as far as 4-deck setups go.

1440x900 is more than enough for 4 decks on my 13" laptop.

Depends. One thing I would consider is eye strain - will it be close enough for you to see what's going on without leaning forward or squinting at the laptop? If it's further away, you might have to increase the font size in Traktor. Maybe invest in a stand to bring it closer as well.

If you play in a crowded DJ booth or small practice space, a 13 inch laptop might be better, but you'd have to weigh that with the above.

You won't have much browser space available below the remix decks in Traktor either way, but I doubt that'll make a difference since you probably be toggling browser mode anyway.

This is also a good point.

I tell you what; if they made a 15+ inch tablet with 1080p resolution, I'd be ALL over that thing.

That's PERFECT. Just need to wait for the price to come down a bit, 899 is a bit excessive :-\

Seems pretty cheap IMO for an 18 inch tablet. A laptop of that size will cost about the same.
