Default Suggestions on putting together a small sound system?

    Hello everyone,

So I'm hoping someone can give some insight as to what they think would be best for what I'm trying to do. Someone I know is throwing a party of about 200 people on an estate which has a small warehouse thats roughly 600 square feet and I’ve been asked to help put together a somewhat decent sound setup which can accommodate that space. I don’t know if this is worth mentioning, but it’s namely going to be house, progressive, breaks, etc (not much in the dubstep department) - ideally what they’re looking for something loud, clear, and punchy.

Given that this is potentially a one time event, I don’t think they’re looking to invest a large sum of money into this sound system, I’d say $1500 is the ceiling. So far what I had in mind was 2 JBL Eon (not sure which ones quite yet) and a JBL Eon 518s subwoofer.

Frankly, I’ve never really had much experience putting together a sound system so I’d like to hear anyones opinion and/or experiences with doing this effectively. Any help would be appreciated!

    Thanks

If it "potentially" will be a one-time event, then just RENT something. That's your best bet. Get two 12" or 15" tops and two subwoofers. Depending on where you live, it should run you $200-$400

This. If it's an one-time shot, rent a 2.2 setup.
If you really have to buy something, i again have to recommend the behringer stuff. 2x b1500d (the 1800's aren't as punchy) and 2x b215d .
Tops aren't really THAT good, so you might find something else, but the subs do kick some butt for the price they retail at.
