i think a lot of thought went in to this unit...

basically with this it allows you to use rekordbox, cdj's, and software... all within one device...
any one looking at the pioneer 850's must surly be tempted by this?

do you think its worth swapping from 900's and a analog mixer to the xdm-r1??

I'm going to look at dropping Traktor for this. The real world applications without the hassle would be worth it. I'm going to give it some time though. I want to see what new hardware NI have in the fold first.

unless you play cd's i dont see the point in buying it for traktor... you'll get more functionality with a s4 for cheaper

there is two types of waveforms. Needle Drop (shows the full track) and Scrolling.

I was referring to Needle Drop.

Seriously, needle drop waveform is the bare minimum.

I know you're supposed to know how far along you are in the song, but it's nice to see the waveform in case you forget.

It has the large red progress bar also seen on the CDJ 350, 400, 800 so you can easily see how far through the track you are.

No, think about the people that want to use Rekordbox on modern CDJs, this is perfect.
