Party update

So I know from experience now music can bring anybody together.

I dj'd my girlfriends room mate party last night. They are vietnamese and I am african american. Most viets don't like my race. So I went to this party kinda nervous thinking I was gonna end up drinking to much jack and hurting on of them lol j/k but just nervous cause they all SPEAK VIETNAMES and I can't understand any of it. So I wouldn't be able to know if I was playing the wrong music or anything.

You guys let me tell you they knew how to throw down at a party. This was the first time I could actually play some electronica music with out getting flammed. They were just a dancing, chanting, screaming, and shouting lyrics from songs. I seriously played anything and they got down to it. I mixed out of this techno song into ABBA-dancing queen and they went nuts. I went from a hip hop track to princes purple rain and the girls were screaming so loud I thought the cops were gonna come.

I don't know out off all the crazy wild college house parties I dj'd this was the best one I ever played cause I got to pick all the music the whole night. No anoying drunk girls asking me to play there favorite top 40 song. No dj's in there telling me how to control the party. It was just me and ableton live rocking the party.

I think I just added another notch to my belt on this one guys I feel really accomplished and please.

I love when you have a good crowd! It's ironic because they'll tell you that the DJ made the night, but you'll say it was all because of the them. It's awesome how both the DJ and crowd feed off each other.

Its always good to have a good crowd but you did two great things. You were handling the crowd great and you made a small step towards race relations.
