after owning the update kit for over 3 months I FINALLY have FW 1.3 !!
Used a belkin USB to serial cable and it worked first time! sweet!
Now to get a new laptop. My dell has BAD latency spikes

what dell you got ? ive got a latitude and i dont have any issues as long as the wireless is turned off. The odd crash every now and again but ive seen speedy j crash live with his mac before he even got started so they dont worry me too much ... well they do worry me but what i'm sayin is even the macs do it, its not nessaserrily my pc.

I think i live near you , can i pop round and update the VCI or borrow your kit and return it?
Im quite happy to make a donation to DJTTs for the cost of buying a kit and quite happy to give you some cash-moneh.
Just havent got round to buying the kit off DJTT (in the U.SofA) and any excuse to have a drive out in the new motor is cool or just do a local postage thing is fine.
Also , i have to admit (Jesc will love this) i am FUCKING STEAMING DRUNK... Its monday for gods sake ive just got home from my gig. The students are back in the City and its all gravy...
Ill get my coat... Seriously though 1.3 goodness and badgers and fizzbombs!

I have a neerly 4 year old dell insprion 1501 it's virused up to keneth! I want a tidy MBP man, neerly got the cash! Karlos... I can post you the firmware Kit as long as you post it back to us (incase 1.4 comes out!)
