    Default akai lpd8 mapping

    hi all, totally newb here...
    apologies for stupid question but im pretty sure you will be able to help me....
    i jave just bought an akai lpd8 and want to set up a mapping for it
    top four pads turn on fx
    bottom four pads are eq kills
    top four knobs are wet/dry for fx

    pretty simple...
    i have tried to do it using akai editing software and then using traktor but im missing a link somewhere...
    any how to vids or anything would be much appreciated.

    You gotta do it in the Controller Manger in Traktor. Controller Manager>add>generic midi>LPD8>in/out LPD8. Then after that, hit "add in" and you will get a menu of all the stuff you can map. When you're doing FX, make sure you chose what deck you want the pad/knob to control. It will say "deck focus" by default, make sure thats set to deck A or B or whatever deck you're looking to control. When you've found something you want to map to a certain function, click the "learn" button and simply give the knob a twist or tap the pad. After that, you should be good to go.

    Aren't this targets in Traktor 3 or pro 1?

    These days you can pick the FX Unit you wish that command to be applied to.

    OP:

    Add in > Mixer > EQ > KIll / button - hold or toggle
    Add in > FX Unit > Button On / button - hold or toggle
    Add in > FX Unit > D/W / fader|knob - direct
