    Default Traktor Pro registration problem

    Hi Guys

I have now got my MBP and couldn't wait to install Traktor Pro

I installed and registered on my Vista laptop the other week and was told that I could also register it on my Mac once also!

I have installed onto my Mac and when i click onto to Traktor it asks me the usual - register / demo or buy ! I go to register but when i get there and login it says everything up to date - but i still cant register Traktor !

Is the fact i have already registered this to my Vista machine mean that i cant use the same licence for my mac or am i missing something ? I was told i could use the same to install once my mac arrived but it seems i have been f**ked over!

Please help anyone as i have all the kit now and cant use (frustrating)

Thanks in advance for the help guys

    Luke

You can install on your Mac no problem. You get 2 licences (sort of) so its cool.

It could very well be Snow Leopard there is a known problem with Snow Leopard (not officially supported) and Service Center.

    First:
thing to do is go to the Support Section at NI and download and re-install the latest Service Center. Doesnt matte which version you have this is a known fix for S.C. issues. No-one knows why but it works. Just re-install and give it a try.

Second: (this is probably the real problem)
Under Snow Leopard some folders from application support
will copied to the wrong location, resulting in the issue that Service
Center will not detect Traktor for activation and that it can not find
the factory settings folder at startup. Here is how you can fix it

    - Close all application.

    - Copy the "Traktor.xml" file from:

    Applications/ Library/ Application Support/ Native Instruments/ Service
    Center

    to:

    Macintosh HD/ Library/ Application Support/ Native Instruments/ Service
    Center

    - Copy the "factory settings" folder from:

    Applications/ Library/ Application Support/ Native Instruments/ Traktor

    to:

    Macintosh HD/ Library/ Application Support/ Native Instruments/ Traktor

    - Restart your computer.

Now Traktor can be activated with the Service Center and should run fine.

Btw, the public beta installer does not seem to be affected.

Karlos - thanks for the help mate but unfortunately it has made no difference at all!

Still when i sign into the service centre it says all products activated !

I am really scratching my head and getting really p***ed off! I just want to mix LOL!

Can you think of anything else it might be or to try ?

    Cheers
