    Default Power Daisy Chaining Lights

    Hey all! I have a quick question for anyone who has A. Set up light fixtures. B. Owns their own set.

    I am making my light rig currently! I have two Tripods each will consist of (all ADJ) a Freq 16, a Fusion FX Tri, a Dekker, and a Galaxian. I've got all my control and mounting figured, I just have power distro left.

    The Freq 16 will be on it's own cable due to it's draw, but i was curious if I could power link the Fusion, Dekker and Galaxian!

    Does anyone here have a better idea than I do about this, if I could link those or not?

    Cheers,
    Prof. S

    Check the current draw on each unit and add it all up?

    It'd be 69W total for those three daisy chained and the Freq16 alone would be 91W.

    I am really new at this, does that mean it'd be okay to hook up those three together?

    Check the fuse on the 1st device in the chain. That tells you the maximum current that can go through the whole chain.

    P = V * I, so Current(amps) = Power(watts) / Voltage(volts) for each device.

    Edit: the fuse on a specific device may be internal so it may not affect the chain, but if your power cable is fused that will of course limit total current.
