Default Sony MDR-V55 Headphones Good Deal?

The have really good reviews. And they are cheap.

A lot of the reviews have them reviewed at the $99 price.

AMAZON has them at $56.20 with FREE Shipping: http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-V55-B.../dp/B007BY3PNW

    The red cable looks cool?

I used to have a pair of 7506's, thought they were great but wanted something better. I ended up with HDJ-2000's.....yes the HDJ's were better headphones, but it was then when I really appreciated how well the 7506's sounded for the 85 bucks I paid for them. If these sound anything similar they're well worth the 56 bucks.

7506 and v6 headphones are great but I wouldn't use them for DJing. still use mine for production with upgraded pads and they are solid.

those look like the exact same build and mold as the v700 headphones just colored- which definitely have their durability issues

Looks like the same hinges that break really easily on other Sony models. I did really like the sound of my old Sonys, until they fell apart...

If they're anything like other Sony models, that's a good deal, if you're gentle with them.

I can only compare them to my previous 3 headphones:

    Sony MDR-V6: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pf_rd_i=507846

    Audio Technica ATH-M30: http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00...pf_rd_i=507846

    Wanted to try something new.

They look exactly like the MDR-V55 except for the color and the cord. And they cost $30 more.

Same "HINGE" that everyone complains about. Maybe they reinforced it.

I'll post back when I get the V55's.
