Default Denon DN MC6000, Traktor Scratch Pro, Audio 4 DJ and Two SL1200s - Help Needed

I've just replaced my Pioneer DJM600 with a Denon DN MC6000, hoping to use my Technics to control 2 decks in Tracktor Scratch Pro 2 (I originally had Scratch Duo and upgraded, so only have an Audio 4 DJ soundcard) and use the DN MC6000 to control the other two decks.

It seems impossible to set this up correctly as I can get all four decks working in Traktor using the DN MC6000 on it's own or just two decks (the Technics) using the Audio 4 DJ.

Has anyone had any success with this, as I'm drawing a complete blank and hoping someone will be able to help work this out.

    Cheers

I don't know if you can use two sound cards simultaneously? Aggregate them using ASIO I guess.

You're gonna have to use the DJ4 for your tables and then the other two from the MC6000. I'm not really sure at what part you're having trouble with.

Don't aggregate anything. You cannot use the Denon sound card at all.

Use Internal mixing mode and connect the 1200s to the Audio 4 as usual. Send "Master Output" from Output A, and "Monitor Output" from Output B, then connect headphones to the front socket of the Audio 4.

If he uses just the Audio 4 doesn't he lose control over 4 decks? He'd only have two decks for the Technics.

The sound card you use does not affect how many decks you have control over. You can mix 4 decks internally through a single audio output.

Oh duh. I thought he wanted to externally mix using the MC6000 but still have control over 2 decks on the controller.

MC6000 is a standalone mixer as well as controller, i presume you'd wanna mix externally

Does the MC6000 mixer have full-kill EQ? Mixing internally gives you more options over EQ and filters, and is the only way to combine DVS with two MIDI decks without buying a new sound card.

The MC6000 does have full kill eq's in external mixing mode. I would run the turntables into the audio 4, then output each deck from traktor into a separate input on the MC6000. You could still use the MC6000 to control effects and stuff on the decks via midi.

You can only have a total of 2 decks using the Audio 4 in External mode though.
