How is listening to music on Youtube bad, and learning about new artists/songs from Youtube?

    I use Soundcloud/Mixcloud too.

He meant ripping the music from there.

    It would be SHYTE quality....

No problem using it for inspiration etc.

Oh no, not at all. I use Beatport, Soundcloud, and just other websites I stumble across where there would be free download that's fitting quality.

Yeah, as a true DJ you should really buy your own tracks.. Unless artists have free promo downloads of songs they never release.. Then it's a different story. You want everything to be as legit as possible so you don't run into copyright issues with Soundcloud, etc.

As long as there is a legal way to obtain a track, you can get away with getting it illegally. It's just common courtesy not to do it.

All DJs have to dig for music in one way or another. Try joining a record pool with some DJs who have a similar sound to what you are looking for.

Find a good used music store in your area. Go in, tell them what you kind of music you like, ask for suggestions.
