    Default Flying with a controller

So I'm flying back home next week and I want to bring back my controller to play with it, practice, etc. However, I'm not sure how to protect it from breaking. I don't have a big enough backpack or a travel case (and not planning on buying one cos I'm switching to cds), so I'll have to put it in the suitcase. I'll cover the sides with the styrofoam that came with it and I'll wrap what's left in bubble wrap and/or clothes. I'm also thinking of putting it in the original box, but I'm not sure if that'll fit. Does anyone have any more tips on how to protect it? Cheers.

Pack it between some clothes in a suitcase.. Shake the suitcase around yourself before you go to ensure it has no play inside, and you should be fine.

Styrofoam+clothes should be fine if there's a decent amount of padding between the controller and the suitcase sides.

It would take some insane mapping to get a controller that you can use to fly.

Do not put it in the original box. TSA will remove it and most likely not pack it back into the box, styrofoam, or bubblewrap.

anyone ever tried to bring a midi fighter or other small controller on a plane as a carry on? I feel like they would think a midi fighter is a suspicious looking object haha
