    Default What is the value of a broken Technics 1200 MK2?

    Hey !

    I'm looking into buying a new set up for DJing. I currently have 2 Technics, a crappy Stanton mixer, and SL1.

    I"m going to sell the SL1 for cash, and plan on buying a Z1 and F1.

    To fund my new purchases, I will probably be selling the nonworking Technics 1200 I have.

    My question is....How much is the value of it?

    The only thing I know that is wrong with it is the RCA Cable is not good anymore. everything else, like the motor is working fine.

    What do u think is a reasonable price for this?

    Thanks for ur advice!!!

    take it apart, repLACE the rca and ground (possible do the groundless mod) and sell it for what its worth man. Its only an hour of work and will increase the vaule from a $250 turntable to a $450 turntable.

    250->450?

    No way...

    More like 150-200 -> 250-300.

    Why would a working 1200 that had it's RCA cables replaced be worth only $250-$300?
