Default Midi controller alternative to the UC33

    Hi guys.

I have been looking around to get the Evolution UC33 but its obviously hard to get hold of.

Could anyone recommend a good alternative? Something like the UC33.....a simple midi controller with faders and knobs laid in a channel format.

    Let me know.

    Vestax VCM600
    Livid CNTRL-R
    2x Behringer MM1
    2x Allen and Heath K2

They are the only contenders that really spring to mind (yep I've been looking as well).

*edit* almost forgot the M-Audio X-session Pro, cheap as hell ($50 and feels it) but bulky seeing as you need 8 channels (not sure you can even use 2 of them at the same time).

    Thanks guys.

I'm kinda lookin for something on budget.....which is why the UC33 would be ideal.....all the ones you mentioned above would be too much.

And yeah Livid's stuff are great

BCR2000 and BCF2000, easy to source, cheap, reliable, combined are essentially the uc33 on steroids.

Daft punk used BCR2000's on their 2007 tour, if you need another reason to buy one.

Well you can map the faders to knobs, a lot of people are into that. What exactly is it that has eight faders that you want to control?

If you're that hung up on faders just get a nanoKontrol, dirt cheap, ultra portable.

    Yeah true.

I literally just want something to control basic functions for the decks in traktor

    Levels
    Eq
    Filter
    Cue

Nothin fancy just something simple. But its hard to find a controller at a decent price with a layout that lets say has a fader with 3 knobs above it and 1 or 2 buttons below it. They all seemed to be designed differently.....

CMD MM-1 is your weapon of choice.
