Yeah feels totally solid. I used 6 feet instead of 4 for extra stability in the middle

I'm digging the ikea expedit diy. Which parts did you use for the laptop surface and speaker surfaces, including the metal legs?

    So I basically followed this

    http://www.djtechtools.com/2011/10/1...om-ikea-parts/

The only thing you can't get from ikea is the longer bolts needed to attach the laptop shelf to the the expedit. You need to go to a hardware store or buy online.

This is a quote from the thread:

"You will need two long metric bolts and large washers for the capita brackets. These are the exact bolts I used from Lowes: http://www.lowes.com/pd_214487-37672...RL=&facetInfo=
    M10-1.50 x 75"

    Cheers mate

Yeah nice tip... or i could just paint em

The speaker shelves are a tiny bit bodged no doubt. Probs should have got the lack shelves

    http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/70103622/

with capita brackets and just had them sideways... was just worried about stability.

    http://www.ikea.com/gb/en/catalog/products/40051196/

Thing is there isn't an ikea near me so it's a £35 delivery everytime...

Shame they dont have straight vertical brackets anymore...

I actually just used the Capita legs upside down which isn't super stable.

Nice setup! Just curious, what did you use as a stand for the Behringer CMD?

I got a metal NI kontrol stand for the x1 and I'm actually using one half of the x1 soft case for the pl-1. It's not ideal cause it sits on it, rather than in it but the height is pretty perfect
