Default Low volume on mixer faders

Noticed that on my mixer the volume really isn't noticeable until about 80% up on the faders. And at that point, it's kinda like just throwing in a track or killing it really fast. I unplugged and replugged the rca's from the mixer to my CDJs, but still have the same problem. Any idea what it could be?

It's called a logarithmic curve, some mixers allow you to change this setting.

    It's a Xone 92.

*Looked up how to adjust the fader curve. Will try when I get home. Thanks, guys.

I would imagine it's adjustable on a Xone... If not let me know so I don't buy a 92 lol.

Just messed around with the fader curve knob but didn't see any change at all. Am I missing something?

The knob is for the cross-fader I think?
Ages since I went on a 92 but I believe Padi is right - it's logarithmic - so most of the volume comes in at the top.

I own a xone 92 myself and really dont see any problems with the fader curve. However, there are tutorials on youtube on how you can change it. I think one of them is from my hero trevor nygaard

When the faders are nearly fully up.

This image is for distance but just imagine the distance is the fader position and time is volume.

Linear fader are used on midi controllers and some mixers.
Exponential (logarithmic) are used on 92.
