Default Painting VCI-100's jog wheels: will it hurt them?

I want to paint some designs on the jog wheels of my VCI-100, but I am worried that it will desensitize them so I can't use them in performance. Anyone know if this will happen or if there's a way around it?

    I'd appreciate any help.

search for threads about this, you want a paint that is conductive.
We don't believe in the star system. We want the focus to be on the music. If we have to create an image, it must be an artificial image. That combination hides our physicality and also shows our view of the star system. It is not a compromise-daftpunk

if you just mean the coloured disc, it will be fine, trust me when you take it off you will see it's little more than a piece of circular metal.
