Default Help an Old Dog learn some New Tricks

Hey guys. I need some pointing in the right directions.

I have been a commercial top 40 party DJ for 10 years but I am trying to get more into dance music, but apart from commercial releases, I have been out of the loop for a while. I used to like UK Hard House many moons ago, but nobody likes that anymore apparently.

I have been trying to search around Beatport and I like their definition of Prog House but it gets a little bit repetitive and I'm finding it difficult to find anything older than 6 months old and I am aware of them "all sounding the same" which is a little overboard, but the point is there.

I also like Tech House, House and the Harder Dirty Electro(isn't that what beatport call prog house).

If anybody could point me in the direction of a bit of history of some genres and some more classic tracks that I can try and build from, it would be a lot more fun and I imagine a lot more variety in tracks than the birth of the iPod generation.

    Cheers guys!

How about stuff like this? It's quite popular in the UK.
