ok, so i fiddled around with this vst called ymVST to create a white noise sound, but i'm not happy with it.
i want a more clear one like the one in dubfire tracks or like in flonko by angello.
what do you i need for such a sound?

I use NI Massive as a white noise generator - creates pretty tasty white noise to my ears !
Who would have thought that white noise could be so useful !
White noise means power at (nearly) all frequencies right?
because it would seem strange that one 'white noise' can actually sound different than another..
You can create 'white' noise in FL Studio with the 3x osc setting one of the oscillators to noise and turning the other two volumes down..
have to agree there, all the white noise generators sound the same to me, very noisy and white haha
Its the post processing that makes the difference in my experience, i personally like the one in massive because massive makes it really easy to do some quick with its tasty filters, fx and modulation options.
yeah i will get massive soon, so i will test that than. thanks!
btw, white noise is one of the best things to get this moment every producer is searching for imo. at least in tech house/house/ehouse

To get the sound you need you have to layout some long lush reverb on top, but first of all make sure you use a stong High-Pass filter.. you can easily kill anything bellow 500-600Hz (also cleans it up so you have space 4 ya bass, and will make it sound crisper)...
I think although I'm not really a follower that he also uses a lot of sidechain .. and maybe some wacky long delays (ohmboys aka ohm force plug ins or the logic Delay designer which I'm quite sure is waht he uses) .. careful with this or you might end up with a lot of phasing/ flanging.

Noise is a many coloured thing! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Colors_of_noise I used to play around with a Putney (VCS3 - the synth Eno used in Roxy music) - had a lot of fun with noise generators and amp/filter envelopes and modulation.

I use the Oddity... forget who makes it, but it gives that Dubfire type sound.
G-Force ... (used to be G-MEdia but apparently there's some sort of colab with the OHM Boyz er.... boys now).

You can get white noise with Ableton's built in Operator I think
I used to link music in my signature but nowadays I don't.
