Looks like this could be cool. The buttons are a bit close to the platter imo, but I'll reserve judgement until I get to play around with one. Additionally they have posted the beatpad and key pad on their website. Thoughts?

i immediately got a gear boner. If the execution of the product is close to the concept, and the price is reasonable, then everyone will want them. A few thoughts on these:
1). Most of those that seriously want turntables have them. Most of those that want turntables want 1200's, and can get them pretty easily.
2). those that are digital djs going into dvs already have controllers for loops, hot cues, etc.
3). I'm guessing it'll be around $800-1000 new. Perfectly good techs go for $300 used and dicers can be picked up for $50 used.
4). Even if you buy these for yourself, you'll have to have dicers/another controller for anytime you play out. Unless you want to bring your own turntables to every party. Which would suck.
5). Also, it would have been nice to have a control on this product for browsing and track selection.

That being said, I still want them. Serato is really picking up their game in the scratch-certified mixer/ssl/sdj native controller realm.

The RP-8000 does have a browser track selector knob
I own 1200s but would much rather have the RP-8000. It has a wider pitch range than mk2-mk5, pitch range read out and enough midi controls to do what I want with it. I hope they sell this in the U.S.

    Keypad is just RIDICULOUSLY cool.

If anyone looking to get into production DOESN'T snap one of these up as soon as it becomes available they are a FOOL.

    A FOOL, I TELL YOU!

Actually - it is (I THINK) the first completely all in one solution for DJ'ing and production. Damn - I could write some seriously hardcore templates for Ableton Live for that thing......
    DJ'ing: 2x1200MK2, DJM 850, Dicers, F1, Zomo MC-1000, Sony MDR-v700, i7 Win 10 HP Envy

The new gear - especially the RP-8000 - is fucking insane. Played with it a bit earlier but was competing today so had to work on my set... tomorrow I'll be back with more information
